IWF vs WEW

As most people are aware by now, the IWF is going to go to war with the WEW fed.

After many days of Twitter trash talking, it's going to happen. This is a thread talking about this. Now there's a few things that I want to discuss as of right now.

The event is scheduled for May 5th. That's a Saturday, so I assume that the deadline will be the same as we always have it. I haven't gotten total details yet, but that's because we only set this up today. So the plan right now is for us to go on with our storylines and everything up until Bloody Sunday. The week after Bloody Sunday, there will not be a Battle Grounds (as this is the week of the IWF vs WEW event).

The event is going to have roughly seven matches (Not 100% sure yet, depending on numbers). All the matches will be IWF vs WEW. The two main event matches are going to be IWF Champion vs WEW Champion, and a 10 man (5v5) tag team match between Team IWF and Team WEW. The rest of the matches will likely be one on one with maybe a few tag team matches, again, depending on people.

The way this works is as follows. Whoever is taking part in this (I'll get to that later) will sign up to a neutral site that will be created and run by a neutral party. This neutral party has no affiliation with either WEW or IWF and therefore there will be no conflict of interest. He's a fed owner, and he's agreed to host it for us. So he will create a site for this, and the week of the event, all who are participating will sign up for the site. You will post RPs to that site, and they will be judged by a group of judges that the fed owner host is assembling (no ties to either IWF or WEW). I'm not totally sure yet what the RP limit will be, but as soon as I know I will post it here. Same goes for a link to this site.

That being said, I'm coming to you now as a fed owner. I want this to be successful. And when I say successful, I don't mean that I want to win and anything less will be failure. It would be great to win. But the main thing for me here, is I want IWF to get good exposure. People will tweet about this, people will hear about this, and I want it to be good publicity for IWF. Knowing our members, I know you won't disappoint me. So like I said, if you decide to do this or get picked to, then please show with 110% of your effort, because I want this to be HUGE for us.

Now again, as one of the fed owners, I try not to force people into doing things that they don't want to. But I do have some expectations. I'm going to list names below that I EXPECT to take part in this. This is not because I think these people are the best, but rather, they've been part of the IWF for a long time, and they should want to do this. I've also had some interest from others who've said that they want to take part. So as of this moment, our participants list tentatively looks like this:

Now if you're name is not on that list, it doesn't mean that you can't participate. If you feel that you'd like to do this, then just respond to this post. I will then add your name to the list of participants. But please, only respond if you know for sure that you will be able to give your best effort for this event. And I mean your best effort. I expect people to write some of their best RPs for this. No slacking off, because this is big.

I also wanted to talk about some helpful tips. Shark pointed out something to me that will be very useful. Remember when writing these RPs, that the people who will be judging you have no idea who your character is. They have not read any of your past RPs, and they are not expected to. So think twice before just picking up on your current RP storyline, because it might be confusing to the judges who have never read your RPs before and don't understand what is happening.

Finally, I really want to stress this point. No Sandbagging. As many of you are aware, we in IWF are pretty lax about that. We tend to have people post all of their RPs on Saturday, and completely sandbag people. Everyone has done it, and it's perfectly fine, because there's no rule against it. However, other feds have different rules. I don't know what WEW's rule is, or if they even have one. But even if they don't, I want us to be the bigger fed here. So I do NOT want to see people drop 2 RP's for this event on deadline day. I understand people are busy, but you can try to make an exception for this week. I want to see everyone who participates in this have at least one RP up by Friday (Day before Deadline Day) at the earliest. No sandbagging by posting both RPs one hour before deadline.
