Katelyn Dimaz [vs] Lennox Laroux

Last week, Lennox Laroux did the seemingly impossible in her debut. She defeated Vanessa Cade, the IWF Full Throttle Champion, in her debut. First impressions were everything, and Lennox certainly made a very big one. But this week, she’d have to keep the momentum going. Now that she hit the ground running, there was no stopping the Ultra Fierce Femme Fetale. This week’s challenge was going to be in the form of the newest Diva to sign the roster, Katelyn Dimaz. There wasn’t much that Lennox knew about Katelyn that nobody else, or the first page of Google, didn’t. A blue-haired beauty, she towered over Lennox if her vitals read right, but curiously enough, the two shared a love of Submission-style wrestling. If reports that Lennox read were credible, that would be the only thing that they had in common. Rumor had it that she was a real bitch, while Lennox had embraced the fans completely and pandered to them. The Saint-Pierre native had no idea why someone wouldn’t want to adore the fans. Maybe people like Dimaz just preferred the idea of being vilified. Whatever the case should be, if it came to killing or being killed, Lennox would have to find that tougher-than-nails, obscenely aggressive side of her that was out of her nature, because there was no way someone like Katelyn Dimaz was going to tone down her desire to fight Lennox, in favor of wanting to WRESTLE her. She was going to play dirty, and Lennox couldn’t allow Katelyn to thwart the big impression she was trying to make. Cincinnati was going to be a make it or break it location in Lennox’s IWF career, but nothing, especially not some mall goth, was going to stop her from achieving her dreams, and if she was going to go down? She’d go down swinging!


The date is September 19, 2012. It is just after Battle Grounds, by no more than a few hours. Lennox Laroux, who had been hyped on IWF.com via video promo through the week before had made her successful debut against the golden girl herself, Vanessa Cade. The camera is significantly lower quality than the high quality cameras that IWF TV has, and the reason for that is because this camera is built into a laptop. The laptop is balanced on the hotel room bed of Lennox Laroux in the Holiday Inn’s Presidential Suite. Her long, sandy blonde tresses were in loose, carefree curls, gently hanging as she rests on her stomach in the hotel emblem-embroidered robe. Making sure that the record was on, Lennox smiled a toothy smile and waved her fingers at the camera.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Hello and bonjour. For those of you who don’t know, my name is Lennox Laroux. And for those of you who tuned into Battle Grounds, I hope that you do know my name and that I’ve made a very lasting impression. I beat Vanessa Cade effortlessly tonight. Je na même casser une sueur! I completely obliterated the golden girl, I decimated your Full Throttle Champion, and I made a name for myself by making her tap out. And most importantly? I proved a point. I proved that when I call myself a submission specialist, I don’t do that because it looks good stitched on a baseball cap, or it sounds like a cute catchphrase. I say it because it is very true. Those may just be words to anybody else, but they’re two words that sum up everything that I’ve worked so hard for for the past half-decade. But, I think what’s important to keep in mind is that that was one small obstacle to overcome. Mon voyage a commencé seulement. This journey is far from over.

With a confident smile on her pretty face, Lennox gently brushed some of her tussled curls behind her ear with her manicured finger. She continues, after giving her full, pouty lips a purse.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → The next step in my journey is Katelyn Dimaz. Dee-mas. Dime-uhs? Dee-maz? I’ll just stick to Katelyn. She’s a very highly spoken of rookie making her way to IWF next week. And, like me, Katelyn is in the same boat that I found myself in this week: Little fish, big pond. It’s an intimidating journey, but unlike me, something tells me that she’s going to find real comfort here. After all, if she isn’t afraid to walk around with electric blue hair, there’s nothing that’s going to send a shameless attention whore shaking in her boots. That’s what’s going to make my match with her next week so incredibly attention-grabbing. Katelyn and I are polar opposites.

She said with a shake of the head. Clearly, without being able to show pictures to those who might not be aware of what Katelyn Dimaz looks like or who she is, this is a task that is much easier said, than done. Lennox has resolved to using her hands for body language, her left and right fists balled and in front of her computer’s camera.

A single finger on her left hand rises.

Another finger on her left hand extends north.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → and essentially? She’s the kind of girl who exists solely to try and make sure that women like me do not. She’s going to take a single look at me and write me off as somebody who is incapable of handling their own. She’s going to say that I’m nothing more than a pretty face, a model who has no business here. As much as I want her to be different? I know better. I’ve done this too long! Trop d'années ! I have seen the same thing, time and time again, year after year. Every girl who works so hard to be ‘different’ is the exact same way. An elitist who thinks nothing of the girls who were born with a pretty face while complaining about having to strive and claw their way in the door.

Her left hand dropped, leaving just her right hand up. Lennox continues.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Clearly, the differences between the two of us are easy to see. I don’t add skittles shades into my hair to try and proclaim my individuality. I don’t wear black and fishnets and chains. I don’t listen to music that involves people screaming into my ear drums until they bleed. I don’t look like the Hot Topic poster child, and that’s just who I am. I’m not college educated; I didn’t want to multi-task. This business has been my everything, and I never wanted it to take second place. Wrestling was never going to take a backseat to anything I’ve ever done, and I always knew I belonged here. That’s the key difference between me and between Katelyn Dimebagz.

That right hand dropped, and Lennox loomed in towards the camera. She spoke with a tone of sheer sincerity in her voice, commanding attention.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Passion. PASSION is the difference between me and Katelyn. Passion for this business has been what has gotten me up and out of bed each and every morning, when my body ached and when I was sore, to hit the gym and know that I’m improving. A genuine desire to do this, to be a part of this world. For Katelyn? This business pays the bills. That’s it. She’d be just as content flipping burgers, as long as it got her a paycheck. Qui me dégoûte. That DISGUSTS me. It disgusts me to know that she’s taking a roster space from thousands of women who would give their left arm to be in this business, and any of them deserve it more and would make more of it. But as easy as it is to just look at the differences between Katelyn and I, there is one similarity that sticks out to me.

She then clasps her hands together and continues.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Submission Style wrestling. I’ve seen clips of her doing what she does, and I would be lying if I said that I was unimpressed. If we had nothing else in common besides where we work, it’s our talent at making other people tap out. Deep in me, there’s a very cruel, vindictive piece of me who wants nothing more than to make people writhe in pain and tap out at my hand. To know that they’re forced to quit due to the pain that I’m bringing. I don’t like to let that side of me show. It’s a very ugly side of me that isn’t the ladylike woman I was reared to be. But, the more that I see of Katelyn, the more I realize that that darkness in me is something that I’m going to need to embrace. Vanessa Cade may have been a walk in the park for me, but I have a feeling that Katelyn is going to have much too much pride to allow herself to fall to the same fate that Vanessa succumbed to.

A momentary pause, as Lennox pursed those full, pouty, bee-stung lips.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Maybe that’s just wishful thinking. Or painful optimism.

She let out a little sigh.

• LENNOXLAROUX™ › ultra fierce femme fetale → Regardless, tonight, you saw a side of me that you won’t be seeing next week. If Katelyn’s going to bring the attitude that I think she’s going to bring, I can’t afford to be that bubbly girl who is more concerned with putting on a show than getting the job done. I have every last intention of going out to the ring and not just winning the match, but destroying Katelyn if that’s what it takes. I’m fully aware that she’s going to think that I’m nothing but some cuddly teddy bear, and she’s going to be proven desperately wrong. Like Vanessa Cade, I’m going to make Katelyn tap out. I’m going to put an end to the career she wants right before it stops, and I will sleep soundly at night. Underestimation is not going to be tolerated, and I will not rest until Katelyn and everyone else finally starts to take me seriously. Seven days until the debut of Katelyn Dimmerswitch. Seven days until Paradis Perdu.

With a wink, the seductive Canadian grinned as she rolled her finger along the trackpad. Stopping the recording, she saved the video after renaming it. Uploading it to her personal youtube account, she grinned and closed the laptop once it was fully uploaded. We then fade to a close.
