[code]The arena lights fade down just before the gripping, pounding intro of  “Mama Said Knock You Out” by Five Finger Death Punch pulses across the speakers. A half second later comes the pyro, huge bursts of green along the stage as Haley Duncan, the self proclaimed ‘Halestorm’ steps out. Three steps forward before she stops to strike a pose, drawing attention to the fact that she’s got arms bigger around than waists of half the women in the company. The smile on her face is undeniable, her walk down the ramp easy and confident. Reaching the ring, she mounts the steps, paces along the apron, before stepping between the top and middle ropes and into the ring.[/code]

Biography -
Some people are lucky. They’re born with a silver spoon in their mouths. They live their lives of wealth and privilege and know little to nothing of what it means to endure. And then some people...aren’t. Some people are born into lives that do nothing but remind them that life is neverending trial. Haley Duncan is not one of the privileged. She was born in Queens, which as anyone from NYC can tell you,  if you’re going to be born in one of the boroughs, Queens is not the one you’d choose. She grew up poor, in a home that seemed like it was a constant warzone, her parents at each others’ throats on an everyday basis. She watched her father drink his way into an early grave. While her mother chose to eat her way there, her heart giving out when Haley was only 13. For five years Haley Duncan was a ward of the state of New York, bounced from one foster home to another. Families looking for children to adopt didn’t want a freakishly large girl, they wanted their delicate dolls to dress in pretty dresses and show off to their friends. It turned her bitter and the bitterness turned to anger. An outrage at the world. She hadn’t asked for any of it. She didn’t ask for her parents to die. She didn’t ask to be born with the genetics that made her the tallest girl in her class. She didn’t ask for any of it, but everyone punished her for it all the same. She was mocked, belittled, put down. She didn’t have friends...until she met Micah Clarke. He was like her, cursed, afflicted. Mocked by their peers...but where Haley was pissed off at the world all the time, Micah was quick with a smile, a laugh, and faster with a joke. Micah, you see, had a similar problem to Haley, only instead of being freakishly tall, he’d spent the majority of his life confined to a wheelchair. It was Micah who introduced Haley to the concept of joining a gym, his father’s to be more exact, and it’s been Micah who keeps her on track.

Initially, the gym provided nothing more than a simple outlet. It was a way for her to blow off steam. She’d go, lift weights, do some cardio, and bleed off all the anger. But as the years passed it became something else. The gym became home, the people there family. Watching her parents destroy themselves instilled an almost fanatical need to take care of her body. A need that continues today, with Haley taking a lot of consideration in what she eats and drinks, and preferring to stay away from alcohol altogether. Three years ago, she was approached by one of the gym regulars and asked if she ever considered looking into professional wrestling. At first, she looked at him like he’d lost his mind, but still agreed to go to one of the local indy shows. And that was it. She knew. There were few places, few jobs in the world where her build was going to be an advantage rather than a disadvantage. So she started training. She turned herself into one of those hopeful Weekend Warriors. When she’s not wrestling, she makes a living fixing other people’s cars AKA, by day mechanic, by night ass kicking amazonian warrior.
