Ninja stands in the ring, a spot light on him as the arena is darkened pitch black.
The Ninja:
My opponent is a highflier.
He throws everything he’s got at his opponents.
I have to be more defensive in this match, more evasive, more cerebral.
I will block and dodge most attacks and get little shots in until I can build up
momentum and unleash a fury. My opponent seems like a nice guy so I can be
confident he won’t try and break my arm.
I will not be hit during this match, I promise, I swear, if he even breathes on me
he’ll be destroyed in a millisecond, that is not a threat, that is not a game plan, this
is a promise, a fact, the truth, a guarantee, I will gain another victory and never quit.
The fans cheer and root for him.
The Ninja begins to chuckle then sniggers uncontrollably.
The Ninja:
That was generic but I mean it, I was not told to say that by anyone other than my mind.
I have more experience although we are both the same age, I’ve been a fighter for 20
years, my opponent he’s been doing this for two years. I feel bad that he’s going to be
so easy to beat but maybe I’ll give some tips backstage and stuff like that. I just want
you all to know there will not be a match like last week where I was “out of it”.
