Since the untimely death of international wrestling star Dan Alexander, his survivors--led by mother Patricia and former girlfriend , pop superstar Tori Selene--have led a digital campaign against Alexander's final opponent Jason Gabriel, better known as Stygian, who they believe is responsible for Alexander's death. Though officially cleared of any wrongdoing by the Salt Lake Police Department and the Salt Lake County Coroner's Office; the smear campaign has none the less gained traction amongst fans of Selene and fans of the late Dan Alexander. Support that was bolstered when Stygian released a video via his website talking about a forthcoming match in which he reminded fans that in their eyes he was "The Man Who Killed Dan Alexander." The video has since been tastelessly cherry-picked and many of his remarks have been edited together without any of the context surrounding them, making Stygian sound like a modern-day Charles Manson. The video has been disseminated all over the internet, drawing over 200,000 hits and controversy nation wide, controversy Stygian doesn't seem shy about embracing if not fueling by continuing to insult fans who refuse to acknowledge the mountain of evidence that exonerates him. Refusing to release statements outside of the context of his IWF vignettes, Stygian does nothing to combat the onslaught he faces on Twitter, YouTube and in the media from Tori Selene, Patricia Alexander and the frenzied, disgruntled fans who follow them. For the moment he is content to pour gasoline on the fire and watch it flare. For the moment, on the wrong side of a grieving mother and a beloved pop star's wrath he is the most hated man in America.
