The Camera cuts to Presidential Courts Apartments in downtown Seattle, Washington. In apartment 103, Kit O'Connor and his long time best friend Charlie Hansen are watching old wrestling tapes. Along with snacks and Charlie's girlfriend Avalon.
See! That's what I'm talking about. Technical wrestling at its prime. There's no way he's losing this match.
Charlie turns to Kit
Look. Technical wrestling will only get you so far. It's obvious that it's gonna be a squash match. Strength and power are gonna win this match---Look ill bet you Ten bucks your technical rat gets squashed.
Avalon turns to Kit and Charlie and rolls her eyes
You guys need to get up off your asses, and train for Kit's debut match, or he's gonna get squashed, and then I'm gonna squash you- [pointing to Charlie]- for being a failing manager! Now get your act together, and didn't I say no Alcohol during training? Do I have to do everything around here?
In response to Avalon's rant, Charlie replies
Look, babe. No offense but me and Kit have been doing Wrestling Sunday since we were ten years old. I know that there's been a lot of pressure on you lately, but you need to let us do our thing--
Kit interrupts Charlie--
--Maybe she's right Charlie. I don't know what I'm going up against, and I don't want to get caught of guard. If I want to take my career to the next level, we're gonna have to do some serious training. And I know that this has been a tradition for ten plus years but, like Av said, I really don't want to get squashed in this match. This is the moment of truth, and if I can't show the Insurgency fans what I've got, then I'm wasting my time.
If you insist, I'm there with you along the way. And your the best wrestler I know, so don't sweat it. Ever since you came to this country, I've been like a brother to you, and you've been one hell of a brother to me. So I'm not giving up on you any time soon buddy.
Kit picks up the remote, and turns off the television. They all get off the couch and Kit grabs his wrestling gear and turns to Charlie.
Wrestling time.
The three walk out of the apartment, and proceed with small talk. The scene fades out.
