=OFF CAMERA=

After Battlegrounds went off the air, Hostyle Jones packed his things and began to exit out into the parking lot with Steel Anger and Marley Jones. They walked through the parking lot as it was dimly lit due to shortages in some of the light bulbs. The three continued to walk as Steel Angel and Marley Jones stopped by Marley’s red Mustang. This caused Hostyle Jones to stop as they were about to part ways.

Hostyle Jones - Yuko, I’ll check you out later. Take care of my sister.

Marley walked toward her brother giving him a hug.

Steel Angel - You take care of yourself too, Jones.

Marley walked away from Hostyle Jones as Hostyle chucked up deuces to Yuko and began to walk through the lot. He listened as he heard the Mustang start up, before cutting through a row of cars. As he got to his black Cadillac Escalade, he noticed a vehicle across from his with their high beams on. Hostyle Jones squinted his eyes to determine what kind of vehicle it was, but the glare from the high beams could not help he focus. Hostyle started to approach the vehicle only to notice that it completely destroyed. It had happened to be the black Lincoln Navigator that Chalida had flipped on I95 days earlier. The vehicle was so smashed up and wrecked that it was not in driving condition- the question now was how did it get there?

Hostyle began to walk over to the drivers side of the Navigator he put his hand to his forehead to block to glare. He was hoping to see if he could notice anybody sitting in it, but as he could tell there was nobody.

He approached the door, and then opened it. Nobody was inside, but instead on the seat lay an envelope. Hostyle grabbed the envelope from the seat and began to peel it open. Once reaching his hand inside, he hand pulled an item from the envelope.

Staring down Hostyle Jones realized that it was Chalida’s engagement ring. He reached inside once more and pulled out a note. Hostyle Jones unfolded the note a read through it for a moment. The note was simple, it was only four words…

PAYBACK IS A BITCH!

Hostyle dropped the note onto the drivers side seat as he shut the door to the wrecked Navigator. He thought about the note wondering if Chalida had lived through the wreckage?

Hostyle Jones began to walk to his Escalade confused as ever…

SHOOT

Johnny Styles, Huh?

Let me tell you a story…

… It’s called tarnishing this dead horse.

As the story goes, a farmer owned a horse. As this horse grew the farmer began to acknowledge the beauty of the horse. In fact he treated that horse better then the rest of the farm animals. He not only realized that the horse was not a great sight for the public, but he was also faster then your average horse.

At first to make a little more money to keep up with the upkeep value of the farm he had entered the horse into shows. Starting him as a show horse. This horse happened to be winning every showcase that he was entered in, but still…

The money from showcasing the horse helping, but it wasn’t enough. The farmer had to think of ways to keep his farm, He had gotten offers for people to buy the horse, but he was reluctant to sell. He could not part with his horse. With that he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

He thought long as hard and he came up with a solution. He decided to throw him in the stables as a race horse. The farmer made sure that he would be the one to take care of him at the local stables, or else he would have reconsidered.

The first race came, and his prized possession did not fail to disappoint. The farmed had starting making money from race to race, and the horse was unbeatable! He was high rate name when it came to races. With that the farmer began to race him more and more. Back to back. Before you know it the horse was undefeated and looking to be a legend among steeds.

Then as time went on, the horse didn’t look the way he used too. His eyes droppy. His weight slimming down. His mood indecisive. The horse became ill, and all though treated, he wasn’t given time to recover he was thrown out there. The horse had lost his first match and from so on, he kind of went fifty-fifty.

Then the horse got sick again and the farmer who had found a new beauty in money still raced him. The horses spirit never failed, though. Even after losing race after race and coming into a losing streak.

The farmer should have retired him, but he kept him racing. The horse went on to lose a few more until the farmer came in one day and the horse had croaked. After all they had been through, the farmer did not shed a tear, he just thought about how he lost his meal ticket, and how he was going to find his next one.

Johnny, realistically this is linked to the scenario we are faced with this week at Battlegrounds. Some people can not just go out with pride. They have to get that one more final wind out of them. You are like the tarnished horse, and the IWF is like the farmer! The IWF knows you probably shouldn’t be wrestling anymore, and that this could only ruin the legacy you created, but they’ll milk you as a cash crop anyway.

As for you, I believe that you still believe? I feel like you still think that you got that strike back ambition like you did when you were in your prime. Trust me when I say this, Johnny Styles. You do not have the same anything that you had back then.

No disrespect, but you my friend are old news.

You are some type of legend, but as you make your way to From The Ashes you are slowly driving the legacy that you made for yourself into the ground. In this business, its out with the old and in with the new, and as they say, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

You can damn sure use new tricks on an old dog, though!

As crazy as it sounds, I have to beat you this week. As I build my long resume of accomplishments- this too shall be one. Respect isn’t given, it is earned- and this week I want to earn my respect from you. I want to put it all on the line and show the world why I am the High Impact champion.

I am the future of the IWF and I’m going to continue to show it.

No matter what!

Tag matches? I’ve done em’ and I’ve won! Championship matches, done it! Defeated legends and defended my title! I am prime time now, and I’m on cloud nine. Not trying to be an arrogant bastard, but I’m not going to let the Strike Back Kid knock me off my high horse! I have gone too far in this business in the short time I’ve been here to lose now! Mark my words, it’s going to be a match- but the man with the fresher legs shall prevail!

It is time for the Strike Back Kid to become the Strike Out Kid!
