| The scene comes in on Angelus, thrown into a pile of trash in an alleyway. Given up on himself and his mission. Angelus lies there bleeding from the side of his lip. When Killgore from "Who's Up for Seconds", comes into view.
Killgore: I told you I'd come. Now even poor Grim wanted to tear your head off, and I've stopped him, again and again but this time, I can't. You see Angelus, I liked you, I really did. But see you got on the nerves of the boss. You know how much he takes pride in his little collection.
Angelus coughing through his blood.
Angelus: The man never even won a title.
Killgore: This much is true, but much like tonight is about Christmas, you know that little boy who gets to see his brother get the toy he wanted, and is struck with jealousy. That's much like the boss, he wants Cage simply because your boss, wants him.
Angelus: Still can't say the word God, can you Killgore?
Killgore: Really no need to use harsh language around me Angie.
Grim: Is it time?
Killgore bends down, almost looking sorrowful. He brushes Angelus' bangs out of his eyes.
Killgore: You know, when we were angels, before I chose to follow the boss, we was like brothers. We was like family.
Angelus: Killgore...we are brothers.
Grim looks on shocked.
Killgore: Were! You see my brother would've followed me through hell, here I see you walk through hell to get a man you've never met, and yet you never once came to save me. I mean, how do you think that makes me feel?
Angelus: You've made your choices.
Killgore: Leaving you here, broken and shattered, and alas, Grim will leave you dead. To return to Him, a failure, unimpressive and you will be looked on as if you were me, just another victim.
Angelus: Wouldn't mother be proud?
Killgore: That's an answer you're going to have to ask her yourself.....Grim?
Grim walks over to Angelus, and lifts him by the collar of his shirt, laid out and broken.
Angelus: You truly are heartless Killgore.
Killgore: Yeah, ain't it a shame? Oh and Angelus, Merry Christmas.
Grim lifts his fist to the sky and heaves, before-
Angelus: I'll give him my soul.
Grim goes to punch Angelus in the face, but Killgore catches it.
Killgore: What are you talking about?
Angelus: You can take me to hell, if you give up Ethan Cage.
Killgore: You would do this, for...a mortal?
Angelus: I would do my job, yes, even if it means it my last.
Grim: He's lying, let's kill him.
Killgore: You know what Grim, this is my chance to have family down there with me...and just in time for the holidays.
Killgore looks down at the broken Angelus, much as Anakin's face must've been looking at Luke during the Emperor's constant shocks.
Killgore: You know Angie, I really can't make these kinds of decisions, that's more the realm of my boss. Ain't that right boss?
Coming out from the deepest darkest corner of the alley steps Death.
Death: That's right K.G, well, the great Angelus...how the mighty have fallen. Ain't that right?
Death kicks Angelus in the ribs, which brings up blood from his mouth.
Killgore: I think you've made your point boss, can't we-
Death: No!
Death's eyes glow red while glaring at Killgore. Killgore bows his head.
Death: Release him Grim.
Grim drops Angelus back into the trash.
Death: One of his most favorite children, laid to waste in a simple pile of trash. I must say, this has been the best Christmas present I could ever have. You know the choice you've chosen Angelus, will make you mine, no more will you be a divine walker. After centuries of torturing you, making a mockery of you, and leaving only a shred of your soul left, in the end, you will join your brother as a hell's battallion, and you will do my biding.
Angelus: Oh why couldn't the Mayan's have been right?
Death: Still making jokes, even in your time of need. Where is your God, Angelus? You see, He loves a degenerate, a heathen over his most favored of angels. Does that not act as it's own, thorn in your side. This deal, is this what you truly wish?
Angelus: Yes.
Death: My boy, I welcome you to hell with open arms.
Angelus: What about Ethan?
Death: Oh, that's right, I almost forgot.
Death closes his eyes.
Death: Done.
Death opens his eyes.
Death: Now my son, let us go home.
Killgore pushes Grim out of the way to help pick up Angelus.
Death: Your sensitivity for the weak will one day cost you Killgore.
Killgore: He's my brother.
Death: HE'S MY LACKEY!
Grim punches Killgore's face into the brick wall behind him. Killgore is out.
Death: Now, let us go home. Grim, bring Angelus.
Grim nods and goes to touch Angelus but can't, it burns him when he attempts to touch Angelus.
Grim: I can't.
Death: You're as useless as Killgore.
Death pushes Grim out of the way and bends down to grab Angelus' arm. He tries to pull Angelus, but he can't. Death looks up to the night sky.
Death: Release him!
Peter's voice is heard.
Peter: It is time Angelus.
The night goes bright, and Angelus' body rises.
Death: NOOOOOOO!
Death looks over at Killgore who has disappeared.
Death: This isn't fair!
Angelus leaves a parting gift of the middle finger.
Death: CAGE!!!!!
Back at the Cage home
Ethan wakes up in his own bed. On his legs is his son AJ sitting with his present to Daddy on his lap, already wearing the Batman mask that he got for Christmas himself.
AJ: Daddy!
Rayne: Ethan!
Ethan: What?
Rayne: Our son is waiting for you to open your present.
Ethan hugs AJ and Rayne tightly.
Ethan: My present is that I'm home.
Rayne and AJ look on confused.
