Chuck Matthews: "You know, if someone had told me a few months ago...or a few weeks ago...or even last week, that I would be facing Chad Mason, I would jump on the opportunity. I would love nothing more than to give you an ass-kicking so one sided, the Knicks would have said "Bro...way to let New York down."

But now that the time has actually come...I realize just how little this match means to me. I mean, there's no prize at stake. No real story behind it. Chad Mason and Chuck Matthews are sort of the opposites here. Chad fights to entertain the masses. Chuck fights for himself. Chad is humble, doesn't believe he deserves anything he achieves...Chuck loves to boast about even the smallest of accomplishments.

I think that might be why I don't particularly care about you, Chad. There have been several men and women throughout my life that I've found are in the same boat as you. The opposite of Chuck Matthews. So vastly unlike me, that they're listed as a nemesis of sorts. SOmeone that I take time out of my day to beat down. But you...for some reason, I simply can't get angry enough to completely destroy you. I don't really care that you're here. The reason, I think, is because you really don't pose anything of a threat to me or my plans.

You're dating my daughter. Congrats, you're what, the fifth person to do that in the last year? When Nick did it, it carried some weight. When TJ did it, it carried some weight. When you do it, I just don't care anymore. I didn't let his relationship with my sister slow the rivalry I'd had with Corey Casey. Why would you receive any special treatment?

This week, Chad, I don't even need to work. THe match is a tag team...and I think me only purpose will be to keep the numbers even. I'm here to watch and see what Matt Rydell is capable of. I'm going to watch to see what he can do when I have his back.

But most of all, I want to see how much wanton destruction he can unleash on this joke of a team you call "The Big Favor."

If it's anything like I expect, I don't think we'll be dealing with you two for a very long time."
