The State of IWF Address

Ladies and gentlemen of the Insurgency Wrestling Federation’s roster…as well as any guest who may be viewing this, first and foremost I would like to assure you that the state of IWF as a whole is strong. We are as united as ever and IWF as a whole is as prominent as it has ever been.

IWF has, since it was founded, been ruled over by what the administrators have affectionately come to call “The Rule of 3.” This “Rule of 3” was been made up of Brandon Macdonald, Chuck Matthews, and myself [Corey Casey]. The three of us were the original admins who helped to found IWF in the very beginning a little over a year ago. Since then, the “Rule of 3” has been the voting body that banded together to discuss and implement the key decisions and deciding factors that any federation must make over the course of their existence.

However, within the last 24-48 hours, IWF and especially the “Rule of 3” has taken a big hit. Chuck Matthews, one of the original founders of IWF and one of the members that made up the “Rule of 3” has decided to step away from IWF for a while. This is a big hit because Chuck Matthews was not only a key part of the IWF infrastructure, but he was also a key rp’er and a good friend to many here in IWF. I can assure you [and if you’ve read Chuck’s official post on this topic which you can find at this link https://insurgencywrestling.forumotion.com/t2367-it-needs-to-happen ) that Chuck’s decision was not made hastily and was not a result of any one particular interaction with any one member. As I am sure all of us can attest to, sometimes we just need a break from rp’ing every week. We just need some time off to cool ourselves off and snap back into reality. Chuck was not only tasked with rp’ing for three different characters, but he was also called upon to write 1/3rd of pretty much every single show every single week. This is not even taking into consideration the fact that Chuck has his own personal life with his own personal stuff to deal with [school, work, having a life, etc.].

And so, yesterday, Chuck Matthews took his leave of IWF. How long he will be gone and when he will be back we do not know. However I know that, on behalf of Brandon, the entire IWF Roster, and myself, we all wish him the best of luck in whatever he chooses to do with all his free time now. We also look forward to the day that Chuck returns to our midst.

The remaining admins [Corey Casey and Brandon Macdonald] have decided to push forward and have chosen to take a path that promises to be both entertaining and enlightening. We have asked all those interested to write their own matches [the key information as well as the thread can be found here https://insurgencywrestling.forumotion.com/t2368-attention-any-potential-future-show-writers ). We [Brandon and I] have also discussed the future of the “Rule of 3” as well as the future in terms of show writing in depth but have not, as of yet, made any final decisions. However, when a final decision is made we will make sure that all of you faithful members of the IWF Roster are the first to know. Until that time, Brandon and I will work as a team to make sure the shows/storylines achieve their greatest potential and reflect the effort that all of you put into your rp’s that week.

In closing, there is an old saying that I feel relates particularly well to IWF and our current situation…

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
