UNDERGROUND 4: SEMI-FINALS FOR THE STRAP
LIVE From the Highline Ballroom New York, NY

The lights in the arena circle around as the crowd gets crazy. Real wrestling fans stand on their feet and pack themselves into the arena for a chance to witness IWF: Underground. The entrance video for the Underground begins to play and the fans are going insane.

Just then as the music fades out we cut to the middle of the ring where ring announcer and commentator Calvin Jones is standing holding a microphone. The crowd continues to be rowdy and unsettled.

Ladies and gentlemen...we are LIVE on the Underground!

*CROWD POPS LOUDLY*

The semi-finals are upon us folks and we have two great main events coming up! Bobby O’Day will be taking on Dean Vandal and in the other its Pariah taking on the veteran, Chris Cryptic. Up first though we have Max Violence and Joey Miles already in the ring!



SINGLES MATCH
Joey Miles
[vs]
Max Violence



The match begins with a technical display from both participants, Max getting the early advantage with a headlock takeover, following up with a headscissors. Max picks Joey up and delivers a DDT straight to the mat, going for a cover and only netting a 2. Max tries to lift Joey up, however he’s caught with a right hand, then another and brought down with a snap sulex, floating over, but Max catches him with a knee to get him off. Both men get to their feet quickly, but its Max who gets the drop and connects with his Fisherman DDT, the Violator. Max goes for the cover and gets the 3 count.

SINGLES MATCH
Retarded Gangster JoJo
[vs]
JHalc



The match started off quickly with both men going for offense off the bat. JoJo with a forearm smash forced JHalc back momentarily, but JHalc countered quickly with a hip toss sending JoJo to the canvas quickly. JoJo got back up quickly and hit a flying lariat which sent JHalc into the corner. JoJo rushed forward but JHalc moved out of the way quickly, forcing JoJo into the turnbuckle hard. JHalc hits a reverse neckbreaker and quickly goes for the pin but JoJo kicked out at the one and a half mark. JoJo got himself to his feet quickly, rolling dodging a heavy clothesline from JHalc. JoJo, back up now, laid out JHalc with a springboard mule kick which sent the fans into a frenzy of camera flashes. JHalc wasn't having any of it and as JoJo went for a hurricanrana, JHalc reversed the move and powerbombed JoJo into the canvas hard going for the pinfall once again. JoJo kicked out at the two count and rose to his feet quickly. JHalc attempted a body slam which JoJo got out of at the last second to counter with a facebuster. And as JHalc got up, JoJo unleashed Whoop dat ass on JHalc and hooked both legs for the 1, 2, 3.

SINGLES MATCH
Jesse Sovereign
[vs]
Nick Woods



The match started off with a bang as Sovereign took down Woods with a Russian leg sweep, sending the man to the canvas. Woods quickly rebounded by duck and rolling himself to his feet, landing a roundhouse kick which sent Jesse bouncing off of the canvas. Jesse got back up and clotheslined Woods but he bounced back up quickly, landing a flying lariat in response. The back and forth continued, with Jesse hitting a hurricanrana as she jumped off the top rope and executed the move to perfection. She went for the first pinfall but only got a 2 count as Woods kicked out. Woods got up, ducking an elbow chop from Jesse Sovereign as he then landed a Half Nelson Suplex on Jesse, taking her down. Jesse doesn't relent as she counters immediately with an arm drag, flipping Woods to the canvas and then dropping on him with a leg drop. Woods rolled away and got to his feet dodging a drop kick from Sovereign. He then came back and hit her with a cross body block to take her down. He covered but only got a 2 count. Jesse attempted the Keystone was successful in laying Nick Woods out, going for the cover and getting the 3 count!

SINGLES MATCH
James Betterman
[vs]
Roger Morgan



The battle between James Bettermen and Roger Morgan started out a lot slower than expected as each man tested the water going back and forth on strikes without really giving much away. The battle continued tentatively around the ring with nothing more brutal than the odd leg kick being scored. However the blows mount up and James quickly found himself working on dead legs as James picked him away. The gentle chipping away forced James to up the pace and bait Roger into a shootout that saw the two of them trading straight up shots, allowing James to get the lead with a German Suplex out of a strike exchange. James then asserted his authority and kept up the pace, but the earlier work of Morgan in breaking down the legs made it difficult for him and James soon found himself unable to keep up the lead. Roger then fought his way back and used the size game to his advantage, bringing the match back to stalemate. A trade off of moves and reversals allowed James to score with the Springboard Cutter, knocking Morgan silly and leave him on his knees for James to follow up with the Cum Shot for the win after a 3 count!

Lea Idas
[vs]
Noah Marshall



The match starts quickly, Lea and Noah circling the ring and keeping an eye on one another. idas jump started the action by going for missile dropkick on Noah, but Noah caught her by the legs, powerbombing her onto the canvas. Marshall lifted her back up and threw her towards the turnbuckle like a ragdoll. Lea with a spinning heel kick on Noah caught him awkwardly in the side of the neck. Noah then powered through Lea with a belly to belly suplex, taking her to the canvas. Noah with the pinfall got only a 1 count because Lea kicked out. Lea with a quick left hook hit Noah hard and then she followed it up with a springboard enziguri kick took Marshall to the canvas. Noah and Lea exchanged lefts and rights until Lea landed a few serious roaring elbows to Noah's head. Noah hits the canvas hard and Lea covers quickly, getting the near fall. Lea is back to her feet quickly, sizing up Noah as he’s getting up, she looks like she’s going to connect with a shining Wizard kick, but instead she connects with a kick to the back of Noah’s head! With Noah on the mat, lea goes quickly to the top rope and measures him, leaping off and connecting with a spectacular 630 degree splash, her Molon Labe! She hooks the leg for the three count.

Jay Hot Stuff
[vs]
Ezekiel Task



Jay quickly rushes Ezekiel, and the ref has to call for the bell when the two connect in the centre. Ezekiel’s size and power knocks Jay to the mat. Ezekiel goes to stomp him but he rolls out of the way. Jay jumps up to his feet and hits the ropes and runs back at Ezekiel, but Ezekiel lifts him up with hands into a chokehold. Jay kicks both feet into Ezekiel’s chest, knocking him back and causing Jay to fall to the canvas. Jay is up fast and again rushes Ezekiel while he's recovering and spears him. Ezekiel buckles over and stumbles back a bit. Jay tries to back body drop him, but can't get him over. Jay ends up on his back with Ezekiel on top of him. 1...; kick-out! Jay is out fast. Ezekiel gets onto his hands and knees, shaking his head. Jay hits the ropes, comes back and baseball slides right into his face. Ezekiel gets up onto one knee as Jay hits the ropes and does a spring board moonsault onto Ezekiel and goes for the pin. 1...2; kickout .

Jay gets up quickly from performing a swinging neck breaker and picks Ezekiel up, whipping him into the corner. Jay runs up and monkey flips him out of the corner. Jay climbs up top and tries for an elbow drop but Ezekiel rolls out of the way. Jay lands hard. Ezekiel picks Jay up and tries to whip him into the corner but Jay reverses it and drop toe holds him face-first onto the turnbuckle. Ezekiel lays there motionless then slumps into a heap on the mat. Jay starts stomping him in the corner but the ref warns him and he backs off. Ezekiel pulls himself up, pissed and runs at Jay, but Jay jumps up and goes for a hurricanrana. He tries to flip Ezekiel over but he catches him when he is hanging down. Jay waves his arms around trying to pull himself up. Ezekiel takes a few steps into the ring's center, jumps forward and sits down in a massive piled river on Jay. Jay flips back 180 degrees upon impact, landing in a sitting position, then he falls back. Ezekiel makes the cover 1…2….Shoulder up! Ezekiel throws Jay into the corner and rushes in with a splash, Jay moves and Ezekiel hits the corner post, skull to metal and Jay takes advantage with a roll up and a 1-2-3.

We cut backstage where we see Vinnie Paulos standing in front of the four men left in the tournament; Chris Cryptic, Pariah, Bobby O’Day and Dean Vandal. Vinnie walks back and forth in front of them a couple times before stopping to address them.

Vinnie Paulos:
Gentlemen, the time is nearing for the crowning of the first IWF Underground Champion and one of you four men will have that honor. Bobby, Dean, you two are up first and Chris and Pariah, I want you to watch watch what they do and then go out there and top it. Passion, desire, aggression, I want you four to leave it all out there and show these New York fans what a real champion is! No go out there and earn it!

*CROWD POPS LOUDLY*

The four men walk away looking pumped for winning their matches. Vinnie has a grin on his face, looking forward to the two main events. His grin grows when he spots someone walking down the hall, he rushes down to catch up with her.

Vinnie Paulos:
Jaci! Jaci Sovereign, wait up!

She looks over her shoulder and stops when she sees Vinnie approaching, though she doesn’t look to be too excited. She flips her hair to the side and crosses her arms over her chest as he speaks.

Vinnie Paulos:
Jaci, darling, you haven’t been returning my calls, have you given any thought to to my proposal?

Jaci Sovereign:
I don’t know how many times I need to tell you this Vinnie, but I’m here to support my niece, I’m not here to start competing again.

Vinnie Paulos:
Yes yes, of course, but even as a one time-

Jaci Sovereign:
No. Now unless you want to talk about Jesse, I have nothing else to say to you. She just won her debut match and we’re off to celebrate, good day Mr. Paulos.

Jaci walks off, leaving Vinnie alone watching her leave, shaking his head.



CO-MAIN EVENT
UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
Bobby O'Day
[vs]
Dean Vandal



[DING DING DING]

The two size each other up and loom around the ring in a tight circle, neither looking to be the first to make a mistake. Bobby strikes first with an inside low kick to Vandal that wakes up the crowd. A second from Bobby hits the point again but the Vandal answers with one of his own. Bobby makes some distance for a second.

These two men feeling each other out here, huge stakes for this match.

Bobby then steps back in and kicks back an attempted kick from Vandal before catching him in his guard and landing a few knees. Bobby then tries to pull Vandal down into a knee strike through his nose but Vandal gets up his arms to block and then pushes through to shake Bobby off. Vandal then comes in with a high roundhouse, forcing Bobby into a block with his hands, and then a low sweep which Bobby manages to jump.

O’Day is on the defensive here, Dean looking for a quick advantage.

What looked to be an altogether messy and furious affair between these two warriors actually started out as a back and forth battle of skill as both men tried to outdo the other standing up. Their similar styles meshed well and both were able to score striking combinations against one another that had the crowd on their feet.

Who’s going to get the first advantage?

As time wore on though, Bobby’s temper started to get the better of him as Vandal’s altogether lackadaisical style started to get on his nerves. When things would start to get particularly rough between the two, Vandal would scores with a hair pull, paint brush or overly blatant thumb to the eye, all to get on Bobby’s nerves. Seemingly it was starting to work, as Bobby’s attacks began to get more furious as the fight wore on. This played right into Dean’s hands and allowed him to control the pace of his frustrated opponent and eventually fight him to the mat.

Dean seems to be controlling the pace here, can Bobby get himself under control?

Dean then began to work the arm of his opponent in preparation for one of his finishers, scoring with holds and strikes where he could, and even managing to tie Bobby up with a hanging Juji-Gatame in the ropes.

HE’S CHOKING HIM OUT REF!

Bobby could feel the match slipping away as Dean brought him down in the centre with a Waka-Gatame in the centre and came close to tapping and fighting another day. However the will of a warrior is always strong and Bobby was able to find the ropes and keep the match going.

HOW DID HE GET OUT OF THAT?!

It was now Dean’s turn to feel a little hard done by as he angled for the finish off of a perfect armbar. Bobby picked this point to get back in the fight and tripped Dean out of the Arm-Wringer and then scored with a few combinations to put Dean into the ropes. Bobby then picked the pace back up with a few pin point kicks, starting low and scoring three strikes up his left hand side, ending with a high kick to the head before he pulled him around and scored with a series of Powerbombs, his signature Triple Powerbomb combination.

IT’S NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR DEAN FOLKS!

The win was in sight as he pulled Dean off the mat, but Dean had a little left in him and managed to drive him back into the corner before connecting with a step up knee in the face. Not content just to win though, Dean lined up and aimed with the Silent Night. Unfortunately, Dean’s move ended with him crashing into the turnbuckle as Bobby skipped back and pushed Dean out of the way. Bobby then pulled Dean out and measured him up for his Good Night! Sleep Tight!, but Dean dropped out the back and then proceeded to kick up his legs and force Bobby to turn around just in time for Dean’s Grave Divinity! Dean goes for the cover, hooking the outside leg..

Immediately the two men lock up, and Pariah pushes Chris to the corner. The ref orders them to break it apart, and Pariah steps back, arms in the air. He backs to the center of the ring and Chris follows! Again, the two lock up and then twist around, each vying for the advantage and this time Chris pushes Pariah to the opposite corner. Again, the referee is there and orders them to break apart. Chris backs away, arms in the air.

Both men posturing here, looking to get a psychological advantage for this all too important match.

Pariah steps out and motions for a third lock up. They return to the corner again, but this time, Pariah doesn’t break the hold and the ref is forced to separate them. As he does, Chris uses the distraction to come out of the corner fast, but Pariah is ready and sidesteps him, smacking Chris on the back of the head as he passes. Chris twists, glaring at Pariah who returns a steady look.

Pariah looking to take get the grizzled veteran off balance here folks.

Chris rushes Pariah who answers with a hard swing, taking Chris down to the canvas! Chris staggers back to his feet only to receive a knife edge chop, and then two hard punches before Pariah grabs his head and brings him to the corner, smashing him face first into the turnbuckle. Chris turns, and Pariah delivers two more knife-edge chops followed by two punches before directing him away from the corner against the ropes. Pariah then whips Chris across the ring, but Chris reverses it and Pariah is sent to the ropes. Chris bends over for a back body drop but telegraphs it too long and Pariah stops short and hits a forearm smash to the back of Chris’s neck.

Chris seems unable to get out of the blocks here so far, Pariah has done his homework. Chris has more experience than Pariah, but he also has more tape to be watched.

Pariah then answers with a DDT, sending Chris down hard. He then covers Chris.

You won’t beat Chris that easily, Pariah, but still, impressive thus far.

Chris gets up slowly, and Pariah goes to measure for another hit, but Chris falls through the second and third ropes, landing outside the ring to collect himself. Pariah is forced back by the referee, who turns to administer the ten count.

Calvin Jones
Chris looking to catch his breath, wise move the way this bout has been going.

Chris doesn’t take the whole ten, as he shuffles back into the ring. Pariah is right there, however, grabbing Chris and forcing him to the ropes. Another Irish-whip by Pariah, which again Chris reverses, but as Pariah comes back, Chris finds himself down on the canvas with a shoulder block. He stands quickly, but gets body slammed back down, and covered.

Pariah brings Chris up and drives two knee lifts and an elbow to the back of the shoulders before a knife edge and a right punch staggers Chris and Pariah hooks him up into a suplex! As they land, Pariah floats over for the cover.

Pariah again is on his feet, pulling Chris with him and he staggers Chris with three right hands, the third landing Chris on his ass on the mat. After a hard knee to the temple, Pariah again covers.

Another cover! Looks like it could just be a matter of time for Pariah to win, here.

In the ring Pariah stands, and turns a moment to feel the crowd behind him. Chris stumbles up to his feet, and when Pariah turns to attack, a thumb to the eye changes the momentum! With Pariah temporarily blinded, Chris offers his own set of rights and lefts. A good half dozen shots sends Pariah down hard on his back. Quickly, Chris pulls Pariah up and tosses him into the ropes, hanging arms and shoulders over the bottom rope. Chris then goes and sits on top of Pariah, squeezing his body against the bottom ropes. The ref is quickly there, counting the five that Chris has to break the hold.

Chris is starting to make a comeback here, making up for lost time by squeezing out the air of Pariah.

Chris jumps off and as Pariah pulls himself away, Chris punches him once and sends him to the corner. Chris strikes with two more right hands, before Pariah answers with one of his own. Pariah follows with another two punches before Chris stops him with a kick to the stomach and then a kick to his left knee, putting Pariah down to one knee. Chris then grabs him by the hair and pulls Pariah up, and pushes him to the corner before whipping his across the ring. Pariah hits hard with his back against the turnbuckle as Chris follows in with a clothesline. With nowhere to go, Pariah’s head snaps backwards.

Chris is on a roll now, Pariah is going to have to act quickly to get back his momentum!

Again, Chris resorts to some stiff kicks to Pariah’s midsection, putting him down in the corner. Chris doesn’t stop until Pariah is laying flat on his back and it takes the referee to get Chris out of the corner. Chris feigns to hear the ref’s warning, before coming back in to collect Pariah. However, Pariah shoots out of the corner with a stiff shot to Chris’s gut, taking the air out his lungs. Then, from a kneeling position, Pariah drives a hard shot into Chris’s jaw, causing him to turn away with the force of the hit. Chris then allows his body to turn back the other 180 and he answers with a kick to the head, sending Pariah down on his stomach. As Pariah goes to the corner to right himself, Chris follows with three hard kicks, slowing Pariah down and allowing Chris to back away and catch his breath. Chris steps in and suddenly Pariah shoots out of the corner with a shoulder block, sending Chris on his back and Pariah back down to his knees!

BOTH MEN ARE DOWN!

It’s only to a count of four before Pariah stirs and starts to climb back to his feet, however, Chris also rights himself and even does so a bit quicker. Before Pariah is all the way up, Chris goes for a right hand, but Pariah blocks it and strikes back, twisting Chris away. Chris tries again, but again is blocked and receives a right hand that staggers him. Pariah quickly exercises his right to abuse Chris’s face with two more hard right hands, knocking Chris down. Pariah then forces him up and whips him across the ring, and delivers a side kick to Chris’s jaw, sending him hard to the mat again.

CHRIS COULD HAVE JUST LOST A TOOTH!

Bringing Chris to his feet, Pariah whips him to the corner and follows with a clothesline that whips Chris hard. Pariah then whips him across the ring to the opposite corner and Chris hits again and falls on his ass. Pariah smiles and raises his hand to elicit a strong reaction from the crowd. He then races in for a spear to Chris’s stomach but Chris moves at the last moment and Pariah’s shoulder connects with the ring post. As Pariah pushes away from the corner holding his shoulder, Chris spins him around and flips him overhead with the Master Exploder! He covers Pariah, hooking both legs for insurance.
