Aric Voss: The Story Avbanner

Although it took some time for him to open up and blend in with his new family, ever since being adopted by the Voss family Kyle McCormick connected with Aric as his big brother quicker and easier than his other siblings Chris and Nathalie. Kyle looked up to Aric and that's possibly because the two first met and became close friends in the Big Brother program, which was long before the Voss'es adopted McCormick into their family. Despite being closer to Aric as an adopted brother than his Aric's brother and sister, due to Aric's wrestling career on the western coast of America, Kyle McCormick was able to spend more time with Chris and Nathalie. So whenever Aric Voss was home visiting the two would spend countless hours hanging out and playing video games. Now that Aric is under contract with the IWF and is on the road every week, it's almost impossible for Aric Voss to drop by and spend a week with family and friends when it's not a big holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas. So now that the IWF is in Foxborough, Massachusetts for about week with their weekly show Battle Grounds taking place at the Gillette Stadium on the nineteenth of September, Aric made sure he was on the first flight out of Atlanta, Georgia after the eighteenth episode of Battle Grounds had taken place. Aric Voss simply enjoys spending time with his family, friends and more importantly his adopted brother who he looks at as more of his little brother, a younger brother he always wished for, but never got until Kyle McCormick stepped into the family picture.

They've been playing Mag for quite a while now, more specific about three hours. Aric looks at his adopted brother and the two bumped fists. Just then the door bell sounded. Deep into the game like real gamers, it's as if they did not even hear the door bell ring. Totally shutting out any distractions Aric and Kyle continue to pick off their Sver enemies one by one, as team Raven seem to be winning this thirty-two versus thirty-two suppression mode. The door bell is sounded again. This is when they hear Elizabeth's voice coming all the way from the kitchen area.

Mrs.Voss - I guess I'm going to have to get that too?

Aric looks at Kyle and sighs.

Aric Voss - You want to get that?

Kyle smiles and gets up as he looks down at Aric who is sitting on the ground.

Kyle McCormick - Watch my back!

Aric Voss - I have your back bro, don't worry about it.

Kyle gets up and makes his way to the front door. He opens it to see some guy in a suit standing in front of him.

??? - Hi.....I need to speak to Aric Voss.

Kyle stares at the man standing in front of him.

Kyle McCormick - And who the hell are you?

??? - Oh my apologies! My name is Ian Carmichael and you must be his adopted brother Kyle.

Kyle McCormick - Yeah I'm Kyle......his brother. Wait here.....

Few seconds later Aric opens the door and sees his agent standing in front of him. Aric Voss is not too thrill to see the man that wants to make a fortune off of him is standing at their front door his parent's house.

Ian Carmichael - Look who it is Aric.....

He is quickly cut off by an upset Aric Voss.

Aric Voss - What the hell are you doing here Ian?

Ian Carmichael - Well my secretary tried multiple times calling you and was unsuccessful. So I fired her, never really liked her anyway. But then I tried and guess what Aric? I couldn't get you either.

Aric Voss - What do you want?

Ian Carmichael - We need to talk?

Aric Voss - Talk?

Ian Carmichael - Yeah talk!

Aric Voss - Not going to happen! You see Ian, this is my time. I get to spend my time with my family and friends. This is my sanctuary man, away the cameras, spotlight, away from guys like you, your friends, fans looking from autographs and a picture of the next New Blood Champion.

Ian Carmichael - That is exactly what we need to talk about and let's of course our business relationship, which let's not lie about it, have been under some.....pressure.

Aric Voss - Pressure!

Ian Carmichael – Thing are not going as smoothly as it should and I'm not about to have this ruin everything and just like my previous client.

Aric Voss – Who’s fault it is under pressure?

Ian looks upset and simply annoyed as he shakes his head.

Aric Voss - Fine! Alright.....you want to talk? Okay then meet me in two hours so we could talk.

A smil suddenly appears on the face of Ian Carmichael.

Ian Carmichael - Great! Wow awesome! Okay I'll be here in two hours.

Aric Voss - Okay!

Ian Carmichael - Bye!

Aric Voss - Don't be late!

Aric looked at Ian who gets in the backseat of his SUV. The chauffer shuts the door, heads over to the driver’s seat and in no time the black tinted window SUV was out of site. Aric sighs as he shuts the door. As he turns around he notice his brother looking at him.

Kyle McCormick - Who was that?

Aric Voss - Nobody important really!

Kyle McCormick - Well I don't like him, really I hate him.

Aric looks at Kyle and laughs as he places his arm over his shoulders.

Aric Voss - So.....what's next?

.....4 Months Earlier.....

The sun has just begun to rise over the city of Boston. Although there were early morning rain clouds, it is forecast to be a sunny day with high temperatures.

Radio: Good morning Boston! It's Saturday May 8th, 2011, it's the one-hundred and twenty-eighth day of twenty-eleven and that leaves us with only two-hundred and twenty-seven days remaining in the year twenty-eleven. Got to say, where have all the days gone? Twenty-eleven is flying by, it's like Fast Five. You know what I mean. Yeah! Anyway got to wish all the mothers out there, including my mom, a happy Mother's Day and it looks like it's going to be.....

A shirtless Aric Voss (wearing black Calvin Klein briefs) finally reaches over to his parent's new radio clock alarm they placed in his bedroom and attempts to shut it off, but to no avail. Still between sleep and wake, the constant loud talking from the radio, Aric easily becomes frustrated, he stretches over grabs the alarm clock and tosses it towards the corner of his bed room shattering the radio/alarm clock and there is finally peace and quiet in the bedroom. Completely ignoring the radio clock alarm that he set a few hours earlier before heading to bed, so that he could wake up on time at 6:00 am in the morning, Aric Voss remained in his bed and fell fast asleep once again, after the alarm interrupted his sleep. He's obviously exhausted from jet lag, all the travelling, in-ring competition and being on the road with Insurgency Wrestling Federation in the past previous weeks, but he could also blame himself for partying too hard at the local night clubs in downtown Boston all night Saturday. This was the type of lifestyle Aric left behind after the car crash incident almost took his friend's life and ended his football career thanks to the school board's decision to punish even though he was found innocent in court. Four years ago a couple dudes spotted Aric Voss who had just started his job as a instructor at the local downtown Gold's Gym in Boston, Massachusetts. On that afternoon it was like any other Wednesday afternoon when Aric Voss show up to work out and give private training to very wealthy ladies. Aric only accept super hot and very wealthy ladies as his client. While some of them took their one hour or more sessions serious, some enjoyed it more for the fact a young, good looking, stud was their instructor. For those women that enjoyed every moment of Aric's company, it was more of about eye candy for them than burning the calories. Meanwhile there were no complaints on Aric's behalf of his female clients having the hots for him after all they're drop dead gorgeous and wealthy women......wealthy married women, who's been having martial issues with their husband. Despite being from a well off family, Aric was determined to be independent and earn his own pay check at the end of the day. Aric also knew these ladies had issues and was really trying to escape that by paying for one hour to workout with Aric, some even offered him more money to come back to their multi-million dollar homes. Aric always turned down the offers, he was getting paid a good salary by training these women and that's all that mattered to him. Not their problems, worries, or fantasy about Aric Voss. At the end of the day it was all about money for Aric Voss.

Aric's Home attire (click here to view)

It was in the late summer of 2007, the elements of fall had just started and Aric Voss had fully served his Community Service time ordered by the court. Aric Voss (wearing a white tank-top, black sweat pants) who have just finished up with one of his wealthy clients, are seen with earphones plugged in his ears from an iPod jogging on a treadmill.

iPod: This could be the year.
This could be the moment you've been waiting your whole life to show the world the cards you're holding.

It's one life,
One dream,
One spark.
It's one chance,
One move,
One shot.
It's on you
Be cool,
Be real.

This could be the year.
This could be the moment you've been waiting your whole life to show the world the cards you're holding.

Now walking on the treadmill after his intense speed on the treadmill, Voss grabs his bottled water and drink no more than a mouth full. He flips the lid shut and places it on the machine's bottled holder in front of him. He grabs his white towel, wipes the sweat of his face and places it back on the front piece of the treadmill machine. As he increases the speed of the treadmill once more, he begins to run faster and faster and even faster. This is when Emmy, one of the trainers of Gold's Gym and also a close friend to Aric Voss approaches him. Aric notices her as he unplugs one of the earphones from his iPod as he keeps running at a steady pace.

Emma - There is these two guys that wants to talk to you.

Voss laughs as he continues to run.

Aric Voss - I don't train guys Emma!

Emma - That's exactly what I told them, but they insist that you have a chat with them.

He gazed at Emma who is looking at him, as he begins to slow down his speed. He then presses stop as the treadmill continues to move slower and slower and eventually stops. Aric gets off the machine and grabs his towel and bottle of water. Emma leads him to the front desk of the gym, where the two guys were waiting for him. Emma points them out as Aric looks.

Aric Voss - These guys does not need training.

Emma - Yeah!

Aric looked at Emma who smiles back at him. Aric smiles as he walks up to the guys. The guys extend their arm and handshakes with Aric Voss, as they introduce themselves.

Guy - Hey what's up? I'm Cole and this is Archer.

Archer - Hi!

Aric Voss - Hey, I'm Aric Voss!

Cole - Nice to meet you Aric!

Aric Voss- So how can I help you guys?

Cole - Well we just wanted to hand you this card.

Cole hands Aric a business card.

Archer - We are recruiters for a wrestling company in Orlando, Florida.

Cole - We saw you and your intense work out and we just thought that you could do very well in the business of professional wrestling.

Aric Voss - Okay well, I'll think about it, but not promising you I'll be there.

Cole - No problem, we just wanted to make sure that you know about this man, looking at you I think you might just make it.

Aric Voss - Is that so?

Voss smiles as he stares at both the guys who looked right back at him, but more serious.

Archer - Hell yeah!

Aric Voss - Well guys nice talking to you, I'll surely keep this mind.

Cole - Thank you very much, you have a good day.

Aric Voss - You too!

As the guys walks up Emma walks up to Aric to get some news on what the two guys wanted.

Aric Voss - I think they want me to become a wrestler.

Emma - What?

She begins to chuckle as Aric smiles and shakes his head. What Cole and Archer did not know was that Aric Voss is the son and grandson of two legendary wrestlers. If Aric should become a wrestler, he would be a third generation. Aric has spent more time growing up in the wrestling business than both Archer and Cole could dream of.

Emma - So are you going to call?

Aric Voss - I don't know!

He takes a seat on the bench as Emma who is standing looks down at him.

Aric Voss - My dad already pleaded with me to become a wrestler and I told him flat out no. I just don't know if stepping into the ring is the best thing for me.

Emma - I think you should go at it. I mean it's in your DNA, it's in your blood Aric. Your grandfather and dad are amazing and it's just a matter of time they'll be going called up into a Hall of Fame for professional wrestlers. They are legends and you could become one.

Aric Voss - What about my job here?

Emma - What's the most you will lose? A few rich ladies obsessed in you? What you need to do is take those guys up on their offer.

Aric Voss - Not sure about that Emma, but I guess I'll think about it.

Even after Emma tried numerous of times to convince Aric Voss that going to audition will be one step closer to a brighter future, it took taking a trip to Cape Cod and having a good long chat with his grandfather, for Aric to take the advice from his friends and even his father who also failed to convince him that becoming a wrestler could be his destiny.

.....4 Years Later.....

Mirror
Saturday May 7th 2011
West Coast Wrestling Arena - Los Angeles, California

Aric Voss had just defeated his number one nemesis in WCW, in what was approximately thirty-five minutes of a gruesome, bloody Street Fight to once and for all end their two year long rivalry. The victory over Renaissance, propelled Aric Voss to the West Coast Wrestling Championship for the second time in his wrestling career. The celebration victory backstage for Aric Voss was over. The show was just a past memory, still fresh in everyone's minds. Aric Voss had already received medical attention, leaving him fourteen stitches on the upper right of his forehead. He was bruised and still exhausted from the brutal match, as he simply sits there in the middle of a small run down locker room. Aric was still in his wrestling gear, the blood stains could be seen on the tape that is wrapped around his knuckles, hand and wrist. He stares at the WCW Championship, he can slightly see his reflection staring back at him, when the locker room door opens and closes. Aric looks up as a guy wearing a black suit walks up to him. The man looks at him as Aric stares back at him.

The Man - Quite a match.

Aric Voss - Who are you?

The Man - Believe it or not who am I is not that important right now. What is important is the decisions you have to make in the near, very near actually future. Your decisions Aric, is either going to take you places and make me a very rich man, or you'll remain him in this gutter that is West Coast Wrestling.

Insulted by this man's words Aric stands up he looks as if he could tear this man who is much smaller than him apart.

The Man - Offended? You should be, because you are better than this....

Points around the locker room, the man cautiously gets closer to Aric as he touches the championship Aric is holding. Aric pulls the title away from him.

The Man - You're better than that! I've watched you Aric Voss, you are a five star superstar, all you need is for someone to guide you to the light.

Aric Voss - Is that right?

The Man - Yeah!

Aric Voss - And let me guess you are that man?

The Man - Let's be honest, nobody else has interest and all those two hundred and something fans that chant your name care about is the brutality you put others through and the hell you put yourself through. Look at yourself! You shouldn't be shortening your professional career for this place and less yet those people.

Aric Voss - What are you saying?

The Man - All I am saying is that you deserve the world and everything in it. You Aric are more than a diamond in the rough and like an alcoholic or a drug addict, you need to admit to first admit to yourself that you are the best and you deserve better. You deserve better Aric, a whole lot better. More than anyone can imagine and that is why Aric, I want to help you, because unlike the blind, I see all the great, all the future success in you, I see it in your eyes right now. What you need to do is stare yourself in the mirror, until you realize it as well.

The man pulls out a business card from the pocket of his jacket he hands it to Aric, who stares at his Aric. Aric Voss refuse to take it. The man sighs and makes his way back to the door. He rested the business card on the table close to the door.

The Man - After you stare through the mirror, call me.

Without telling Aric his name, the man makes his exit.
