| the scene opens back stage John Tolly is with his sister Jenny, the sweat drenched mated hair make it obvious that he is either just finished a work out or is fresh from a match, the fact that he is in his ring gear serve to answer that question.
Fifteen years...fifteen years of blood sweat and tears I have given to this business, I have put everything i have on the line to get to wear i am to today, sacrificed it all. i've lost 2 marriages because of this business I had a son that I never saw because I was on the road! But anytime I would start to feel sorry for myself, start to question my choice to be a pro wrestler, i would hear the roar of the crowd and I knew it was all worth it.
He stoped for a second lowering his head
John:But was it? Was it truly worth all the sacrifce? Was it worth the missed little league game? the lost moments with any of my kids? the divorces? was it worth the road trips? Being in matches that no sane human being should ever be in?It seems that no mater what I have accomplished in my career, it never seems to be quite enough. There is always that cloud hanging above my head.
he brushes the hair out of his face
John:Tolly? yeah he's good but...? that ever present but, that seems to stick itself through out my career. No matter what I do, no matter what i accomplish it will never be enough. I am a four time world champion and yet, and yet i'm still treated as though i'm nothing more than a glorified mid carder. Why is that? I've asked my self that question time after time.
John gives a slight shrug
John:Who knows, for awhile i blamed management, for not seeing talent right infront of there eyes.I blamed back stage politics, and yes maybe just maybe they had a part in it, but in the end I just had to look in the mirror and realize that, sometimes you have to make your own way, sometime you write your own history and leave your own legacy!
John looks in the camera
John:Johnny I'm not going to lie, when i first saw that we would be facing each other once again. I was a little upset. I mean what were they trying to do? Humiliate me even more? Then i saw it as an opportunity.Casey told me to make an impact and that exactly what I entend to do.Monday marks the return of the Franchise! Monday I leave my mark on the IWF.

| Scene cuts to Johnny Cage.
Cage: Last week, Johnny Cage has once again been paired against an adversary. Not just a plain old opponent, but the cold and ruthless Jack Savage. One whom I owe a great deal of pain to. One whom, I once again make to bleed like a stuck pig. A man, who once again caused me to bleed all over the mat.
Johnny sub-consciously rubs at his swollen nose where he got struck.
Cage: But what matters most about that week? The fact that I once again proved to Jack Savage that he can not face me in a one on one match and succeed without any help. He can get in his licks and even take a boat load of punishment and still keep on going. But when it comes to getting the job done? Well, let's just say that Jack Savage is well known for lacking in that department. And I proved it again. And this week, I face another man who has been plagued with the same problem. John Tolly.
Cage shakes his head.
Cage: It amazes me just how similar and different you two are. You both have great pedigrees and multiple world titles under your belts. But you both has not had the best luck of late, have you? Both of your records are completely garbage, and it has been years since either of you have even made a serious shot at one more world title reign. At best, you might get Savage with a shot thrown his way for blowing off the boss or something. Of course, this ends with an embarrassing defeat only furthering the rumors of his "extra-curricular activities" backstage. But you Tolly?
Cage just laughs.
Cage: You just get another chance at a total beat down by the one and only Johnny Cage. Its almost funny in a way. I come in here looking to trash you and make you pay for your small role in UECW. I get you multiple times and just completely and utterly embarrass you again and again. And one thing I can promise you. That is one thing I am not going to change. I demand it, the fans demand it, and even my wife demands it. So, it shall be. But there is a question you must ask yourself.
He takes a mock serious tone to his voice.
Cage: "How much more of this can I take? How many times must Johnny Cage beat me senseless?" I want you top think about that as I kick your ass for the third time in less then a month and a half. After all, your the one who hasn't made the impact. Me? I have not tasted the bitterness of defeat. In fact, I have not even come CLOSE. And I have no plans to start know, when my ultimate revenge and plans are becoming so close to fruition.
The arrogant look once again crosses his face.
Cage: Another thing I want you to do is to Prepare Yourself. Prepare Yourself for the ever running Express Train. You will be one of many stops on the way.
We fade to black. | |
