~*~*~*~*~Assumptions~*~*~*~*~

The world was built upon a series of assumptions. Each and every day people choice how to live based on the assumptions that they had about the way things would turn out. Assumptions required a lot of faith and often were based on misinformation. Yet, as the nature of time often reared its head the world built out of such assumptions comes crashing down. One such assumption was that Sah'ta Thor was a man who was out to destroy the IWF. It was one of those assumptions that had lead many on the roster to rise against his vision. Though, the irony was that the more they battled the Empire of Blood the more they lost. People like Tim Patrick had gotten in the Empire's face and declared outright war based on a few very public actions. Actions that had been completed to make changes in those involved. People couldn't question that both Macho Messiah and Storming Raven had been rejuvenated by their joining the Empire of Blood. Then again like most things assumptions were built on perceptions.

"So are you ready for what is to come son?"

The words break through Thor's thoughts and cause him to shake his head. He was going to address the issue in his own fashion but knew that he would have to first share his thoughts with his father. Even at age 71, man who had been known the wrestling world as Santara was still in tip top shape. He was a beat of a man standing at 7 feet tall and was a muscular 350 pounds. In short he looked like man thirty years younger. Thor couldn't help be feel awed by the power that his father emanated. The fact that Santara had a penchant for dressing in a gold tie accented purple suit did little to lessing that feeling of power.

"Of course I am ready. I am ready to do what needs to be done in order to make this a better place."

"I see that your new wrestling home has already painted you to be a villain."

"Of course they have. It is the story of my career though. It doesn't take long for people to see the way I act upon my good intentions and paint me as the enemy. Though frankly speaking, I am surprised it hasn't been worse. I figure if they need to portray me as the bad guy then so be it. I will play the role if that is what they need me to be. You know as well as I do that I stimulate change everywhere I go. People don't remain the same after a run in with me.

The man known only as Santara nods in sage agreement before asking an all too important question.

"I see you have taken losing to Blyss pretty calmly. What do you plan on doing about the way Kyuubi cost you that match?"

"You know me feel enough by now dad to know that I have something planned. I will deal with Kyuubi when I figure out who she is behind the name. Until then I will focus my thoughts on ensuring that I send a message to the roster. People seem to think I am a joke and will continue to do so until I do something that in their opinion is worthwhile. Yet, you of all people know that even then I will never earn these people's respect. That has been made painfully clear. Sure the fans may love me in the moment for the crazy shit that do in the ring but time and again they have proven to be as fickle as the changing tides."

"Don't lose hope Nathaniel. In the moment all great visionaries are treated with either the utmost love or the bitterest of rejections. History will look back on you and see that you made an impact on the world. You tried to make things better why so many other who could have done the same just stood by. Those who are important in your life now the real you. The side that the world rarely gets to see. We know that you are in this for the betterment of all. Now go home and spend time with that loving wife of yours. Enjoy your family son and gain some much needed composure. When was the last time you went by the boarding house?"

Thor sighs softly as he tries to remember the last time had been to the aforementioned boarding house. Yet, at the same time he know it had been in the last two months.

"Been at least a few weeks."

"Then go visit. The kids need it and so do you.

"You are right dad/ I will take care of that."

With that Thor falls silent as he recalls the whole reason for his having set up the boarding house in the first place.

Graphic/Mature Flashback:

"I have to go now dad thanks for the talk."

~*~*~*~*~Luck of the Irish~*~*~*~*~

Ragnarok would put to rest a feud that he had not asked for. A feud that he had been on the defensive for the entire time. It was an amused Sah'ta Thor was standing in the backstage area of undisclosed arena in his ring gear. Next to him stood a random intern from the ICW interviewer team.

"Excuse me Sir, but do you have a few minutes to answer some questions?"

"Sure but make it quick."

The intern takes a deep breath and lets out a relieved sigh.

[color:10c9=#yellow]"Thank you. Now there is no surprise that Tim Patrick has targeted you ever since you baptised Storming Raven into the Empire of Blood. How do you feel about this turn of events."

"I don't know what to think. He started this war and seems to think I am that I am out to destroy Insurgency Wrestling Federation. Sure I have come across as being a hard ass "cult leader" but the truth is that my goals aren't that simple. Ironically, Tim has done more to help me with my overall goals than he thinks. Everyone seems to think that Empire of Blood is only here to pervert the sport. Let me tell you that in some ways they may just be right. However, my goals are to kindle an appreciation of the hardcore side of the sport. Blood is a part of the hardcore nature of wrestling. EVERY hardcore match ends up with blood being shed in some fashion or another."

Thor takes a breath and smiles.

"You see, Tim Patrick seems to think that I am the enemy and that he can topple me. It is amusing though since I haven't done anything against him. He started this by coming after me weeks ago. By this I have to think just proves how right I am about my purpose. You see, I came to the IWF to make an impact in the company. I came to set records and finish out some personal goals. I have showed that I have what it takes to make an impact around here. The fact that people are talking about me and what to take me out of the game proves that I have people worried about what I could potentially do. It plays right into my hands and furthermore shows me that illusions that most of the roster have chosen show the world are weak and easily shattered."

Another breath by Thor allows the intern to ask a question.

"How does Tim Patrick coming after you pay into your hands?"

"I am a man who knows the darkness that is part of each person's soul. Since I have come to the IWF each person who claims to be "good" person had started down a war path against me the guy they have labeled as the "bad" guy. I hope you aren't confused here but what I say next. Tim Patrick, Gordon Fury, Blyss Lockhart, and the other IWF heros involved in things have declared war against me. They have targeted me as the enemy and have made NO attempt to disguise the fact that they despise me. They have worked themselves up into a frenzy pretending to be the good guys and yet just behind the masks they all share their true colors lurk. Take Tim Patrick for example, and his coming after me with his threats. Take his challenge for a match that you have to make your opponent bleed before making them submit. For such a good guy he is sure shows that how violent and destructive he is willing to be. By the end of all of this I intend to shatter the so called good guy act that the IWF heroes have forced you to buy into. They want me to be the bad guy then I will show them just how bad a guy I can be."

Before the intern can react Thor walks off clearly ending the interview.
